Advanced Search lets you combine multiple profile fields and matching rules to find a precise group of people.
Go to the People Page
- Go to People.
- On the Search Bar, select Advanced Search.
Build your search
- Under Fields, select a field to add it to the search criteria.
- Choose how that field should match.
- Enter or select the value.
- Add additional fields as needed.
- Select Search People.
Available matching rules include Contains, Equals, Starts with, Ends with, Is empty, and Isn’t empty. Some fields provide choices instead of free-form text.
How multiple conditions work
- Multiple conditions for the same field use OR.
- Conditions using different fields use AND.
For example, two City conditions for “Alpharetta” and “Roswell” combined with a Status condition for “Member” find members who live in either city.
Fields you can search
Advanced Search includes names, email, phone numbers, address fields, birthday, Member Since, status, member status, portal access, Directory invitation status, gender, family name, notes, and other profile information.
Use the search results
Select one or more people, then open Actions to:
- Send an email
- Invite people to the portal
- Add or remove tags
- Add people to a list
- Archive records
- Move records to Trash
Always review the selected people before sending communications or making a bulk change.
